Congratulations to Maroon 5 & Christina Aguilera for hitting the #1 spot on the Hot 100 Billboard charts! This is Maroon 5’s first #1 since 2007’s Makes Me Wonder and Christina’s first since 2001’s Lady Marmalade. Let’s hope their success continues!

Considering what he had to work with, this came out pretty decent. DJ Earworm’s annual mashup of the year that includes the Billboards Top 25 is still dance-driven and a tasty pop treat, but it lacks a couple artists we fell in love with this past year- Robyn, Natalia Kills, and most importantly, Pink. If anything, this shows that the radio was flooded with dance-driven music this past year, the first to happen in a long time (I’d say since the 80’s even?). The downside, it reveals that a lot of these songs were cookie cutter renditions of one another. Will 2011 bring us more party music?
