It’s finally here! After numerous requests, I’ve put together some of the best covers of Robyn’s hit songs from talented indie musicians. Through these great renditions, Robyn’s heart-wrenching lyrics can really be felt. My favorite tracks on this mixtape include Ellie Goulding’s cover of Be Mine, Scott Winstanley’s Hang With Me and of course Gavin Beach’s beautiful cover of Dancing On My Own. Enjoy the mixtape!

As many of you may already know, I am a huge Robyn fan. And I’m even a bigger fan of those indie artists that can take one of her infectious dance songs, cover it in buttery vocals, dripping with acoustic toppings (it must be lunch time!). Gavin Beach once again does just that with his latest cover of Call Your Girlfriend. It’s the perfect cure for this rainy Tuesday in the Bay Area. And it’s the first track off of the next Wonky Pop Mixtape, I Heart Robyn. Expect the download later this week!

Despite what critics said, Bionic was one of 2010’s best albums. And there’s nothing like a mega mix to capture the creativity that Christina put into it. Though her Stripped album is still one of my favorites (and critics also tore that one apart), this should be enough to tide you over until she puts out new material… hopefully soon. She’ll be on our TV screens for the next couple of months on NBC’s new realty music show The Voice, beginning tomorrow, April 26th. Enjoy!
After nearly two weeks, I’ve finally gotten around to getting you a new Cure For the Mondays mixtape. This week’s is extra special: loaded with 11 incredible dance, mashup and remix tracks, it’s sure to give you that extra pep in your step to get over your Sunday Funday hangover and get through another work week. The format of the Cure mixtapes has changed slightly: you’ll notice that each week will now have a “theme” rather than just a number. Volume 19 has been appropriately named Glow. What better way to start off a rainy San Francisco Monday than with a fun dance jam! Nicole Scherzinger has been trying hard to make a comeback since her leaving the Pussycat Dolls. I must admit, I am loving her new solo album Killer Love. One of my favorite tracks on the album is Wet, an infectious dance jam that will have you out of the Monday blues in no time. Enjoy!
