Fanmade Mashup Or the Real Deal? Adam & Pink

Rumors are floating around the interwebs as to whether or not this is an actual release, or just a damn good mashup that a fan or DJ created.  I have a new appreciation for Adam Lambert’s voice after hearing him blend with Pink in her Max Martin produced Whataya Want From Me.  I think they should release this as a single together!  What do you think of this duet?  Leave your comments below!

UPDATE: Our sources close to Pink’s label has informed us this is a mashup, and not the real deal.

Robyn + Max Martin = Brilliant!!!

The anticipation had been killing us and we’ve finally heard Robyn’s latest collaboration with Max Martin.  Time Machine is a hot dance track from her upcoming Body Talk (which will combine the previous two Body Talk albums, and include five new tracks) and this one is definitely made for American radio play.  It’s still in typical Robyn fashion (no, not like her Show Me Love hit) - sticking to her guns by including a lot of complex synth beats and euro dance flare.  Could this be what Robyn needs to get America’s full attention?  Listen below!

Robyn + Max Martin Collaboration on “Body Talk”

Get ready America!  November 22nd Robyn will be releasing the third & final installment of Body Talk.  Body Talk (technically Part 3) will be a compilation of Body Talk Pt.1 & Pt.2, along with five new songs.  The new tracks will be Time Machine (produced by Max Martin and their first collaboration since 1997 Show Me Love), Call Your Girlfriend, Get Myself Together, In My Eyes and the hot single Indestructible.  We cannot wait for this album to drop!  In the meantime, take a trip down memory lane with Robyn’s 2008 version of Show Me Love.

Introducing: Marion Raven

Here’s something to chew on for your Saturday.  Somewhere, Kelly Clarkson is queuing up all her bitter memories and transmogrifying them into Max Martin assisted pop miracles. For the interim, listen to Norwegian survivor of the M2M disaster and fellow Max Martin devotee, Marion Raven. With her new album Nevermore arriving in November, Marion has dropped a new single, Flesh and Bone, and it’s kind of a gear change. For whatever reason, it reminds me Fefe Dobson’s new song Ghost, but way more pissed off and with way more lank, Alanis Morisette style hair. It’s a good bet that you won’t hear her album anywhere in the U.S. but will nonetheless be amazing.  Don’t sweat it though, it is sure to be available on Legalsounds.com

Los Angeles meets Sweden

Though you may want to try and compare these guys to The Killers, think again.  Carolina Liar are coming to their own and they did it with absolute brilliance!  Produced by Max Martin (of Sweden) “Coming to Terms” is the band’s first major label debut album - and it keeps you going from beginning to end.  It’s just what I needed this afternoon, during the “lull” of the work day.  Thank God for my iTunes (being streamed from home) - otherwise I would be asleep at my desk.  That would probably not fair too well with the startup company I’m working for!

Besides the lead singer, Chad Wolf (residing in LA with the band but from South Carolina originally), the other members of the band are from Sweden.  I knew Sweden was it for me!  Besides the hits, “Show Me What I’m Looking For” and “I’m Not Over,” my favorites from CL are “Coming To Terms,” “Simple Life” and “When You Are Near.”

Leak Alert! Katy Perry’s “California Gurls”

Katy Perry has teamed up with the same producers and writers as Kesha’s “Tik Tok” for her most recent “leak” featuring Snoop Dogg titled “California Gurls.” (Yes, GURLS.) The song is catchy and perfect for summer, and will probably make the top 10… though, for originality, I give it a 2. It’s too similar to that of “Tik Tok.” I expect more from you Max Martin!

See the difference below. Who did it better?
