The sophomore album from the rhythmic Ting Tings will be dropping in May. Sounds From Nowheresville is a more mature Ting Tings offering, with the flare of M.I.A. and reggae-infused pop beats. It’s goooood!

If you put out an album, and it goes unnoticed, it’s time to collaborate with a star who is highly recognized. Jon McLaughlin has teamed up with Sara Barellies for a re-release of Summer Is Over - which will be included on his new album due out in May of this year. One of my favorite tracks from Forever If Ever, Summer Is Over is now 10 times more emotional with Sara’s added vocals. Cannot wait to see the video for this one…. to beautiful, piano singer-songwriters! Here’s to hoping it is successful as a winter single!

Even though I wasn’t quite feeling (and still am not feeling) her first single, Rihanna has quite the impressive team behind her, helping her crank out hit after hit. Her latest effort and sixth studio album (out just one year after her last!) is damn good. Still getting a review and taste of it (takes me a few spins before I really can start to repeat the album) but so far it has my undivided attention. Here’s one of her power ballads from Talk That Talk, Farewell.

Absolutely loving the new SK6ERS (that’s Stephen Kellogg & the Sixers to you newbies). Their new album, Gift Horse, is yet another beautiful offering from this incredible southern-rock-folky-band. Hard to believe it was nearly 6 years ago that I discovered this band for $4.99 at Virgin Records in Times Square.

WELL THIS IS A SURPRISE. Lady Gaga’s alleged third single, The Edge of Glory, has been released and it’s damn good. Though I wasn’t a big fan of Born This Way — and Judas is still rubbing me the wrong way, The Edge of Glory has a great anthem vibe with some serious 80’s pop-twang— think back to the days of St. Elmo’s Fire — toot your sax! I am digging this single. What do you think?

Someday, everything ends. When You’re Through Thinking, Say Yes has a set release date of March 21, 2011 (though still wondering when the single will come out!). They’ll be touring the US with All Time Low. Looks like March is going to be a great month!
Can we begin
Finding a way back before we’re too late
And lost in between
the truth and the dream?
I’ve never been more ready to move on.
