Even though I wasn’t quite feeling (and still am not feeling) her first single, Rihanna has quite the impressive team behind her, helping her crank out hit after hit.  Her latest effort and sixth studio album (out just one year after her last!) is damn good.  Still getting a review and taste of it (takes me a few spins before I really can start to repeat the album) but so far it has my undivided attention.  Here’s one of her power ballads from Talk That Talk, Farewell.

This is a smart move on Christina & Adam’s part.  Their album sales for their latest did not do very well in 2010 and perhaps this is what they need to get some buzz about them again.  Moves Like Jagger is a new single by Maroon 5 featuring the great Christina Aguilera.  It’s got a nice dance feel, yet still in Maroon 5 tradition.  And Christina’s voice shines (as always) on the track.  They’ll be performing & debuting the song tonight on The Voice and immediately releasing it on iTunes for download.  Now if we can only get Christina to put out a new album before 2011 is up!

Justin Bieber has nothing on Greyson Chance.  This 14 year old about-to-be pop-sensation is the first artist signed to Ellen Degeneres’ record label ElevenEleven.  He’s just released his second single Unfriend You, after his debut single Waiting Outside the Lines.  His new single is a bit more upbeat and should be able to compete with the dance tracks currently flooding the Hot 100.  This kid has so much raw talent, it’s ridiculous.

This is the second time that pop singer Robyn has joined forces with electronica band Teddybears for a rip-roaring time in stereo, and I’m honestly not too sure why it doesn’t happen more often. More of this, please!  She’s replaced Mapei, the original recording artist who was featured on the Teddybears album Devil’s Music.  I’m assuming for a more mainstream appeal.

Thanks Mark!

new single from the 10 year old sensation, Willow Smith.  Whip your haaaaairrrrr as a 21st Century Girl.  It’s Eva Simons meets Rihanna.  I wonder how much her voice will change as she gets older…
