Christina Aguilera belts it out on this recently leaked Spanish track, La Casa. It is rumored that this track was recorded for the movie Casa De Mi Padre. At any rate, I’m happy to hear Christina is recording new material.

Britney Spears herself has confirmed this is in fact an early demo of Hold It Against Me. This all sounds very strategically planned if you ask me. Good work Team Brit!

Popjustice “confirms” that THIS IS the new Britney Spears single - however…. the “production, vocal and structure will sound very different.” Well no shit. That’s why this is a demo. We’re lead to believe that the demo could either be sung by Myah Marie (who is supposedly one of the backup vocalists for Britney’s new single) or Bonnie McKee, one of the said co-writers of the song. Other blogs & previewers of the new single out there have stated that Brit’s new song has a Robyn-esque Criminal Intent hardness to it - so perhaps this is in fact the real demo. We have no confirmation as to whether or not this is the real demo - but based on what we know we would have to agree with PopJustice. Our only doubt comes from the fact that this leaked on YouTube and SoundCloud a few hours ago, both of which are places record companies are constantly monitoring. If Britney’s new single is as protected as we are lead to believe, why would they allow this to slip thru the cracks? Do you think it’s the real demo? At any rate we love it & it’s Time Machine styled beat!

With all the rumors floating around out there about the new Britney single, we can only tell you what we’ve been told. It’s obviously pure speculation, because Jive is keeping a tight seal on the actual release date. We were first told it would be back in December… then that rumor was later corrected by our sources that it would be early January. The latest blogs and webazines are saying January 7th will be the release date of Hold It Against Me. Well, now Britney Spears manager himself has come forward via twitter and dismissed that to be rumor. The latest news we heard was that the single would premiere on the radio on January 10th— but this article leads us to believe it will still be January 7th. We don’t know what to think, but dammit, enough with the hype - let Britney’s fans hear the song already. One of our sources close to Jive has told us that “the song exceeded all of my expectations. Britney has gone a bit darker, edgier on her new single - but it’s going to kill on the charts.” Will Britney’s new single be like Christina’s Bionic or will it land her on top of the charts?
