This is true soul music coming through.  The late Etta James & Christina Aguilera Something’s Got a Hold On Me.

Some of you may recall Christina sang this song in her first movie debut, Burlesque.

Thank Rocky!

Fans of ‘The Voice’ are getting a special treat this week, as a studio collaboration between Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green — recorded long before they signed up to co-star on their hit NBC series — finally sees the light of day.

‘Nasty’ surfaced online recently, and when Green dropped by Jimmy Fallon’s late-night show this week, the ‘F—- You’ hitmaker confirmed the existence of the previously unreleased recording, which you can hear below.

“We did a song together about a few years ago,” Green said. “It actually was supposed to make the ‘Burlesque’ soundtrack, but it didn’t make it…I’ve been seeing people tweet about it lately, so I think they’re going to release it.”  Let’s hope they do.  Christina needs to make another album before 2011 is done.  We need the real VOICE to give us some greatness.

Since ‘Dirrty’ (2002) was one of the more notorious moments in Aguilera’s career, it’s understandable why a single titled ‘Nasty’ might have been reconsidered and shelved, particularly as the former Mouseketeer was attempting to launch her feature film career with ‘Burlesque.’ But the vocals are, no surprise, impressive.

Watch: Christina Aguilera “Bound To You”

Dammit.  Yesterday, Adele.  Today, Christina’s doing it to me.  If anyone wants to know what to get me for Christmas, make it a lifejacket.  If power ballads like these keep coming out, I’m going to have to wear one all the time to prevent me from drowning in my own tears (I’m really not a sad case, just an emotional person at heart).  Despite a recent divorce and failed album, Christina’s still got it.  She blows our minds once again with her vocals on Bound To You, from her upcoming acting debut in Burlesque.  I think I might just have to see this one, even if the plot looks predictable.

Listen: Cher “You Haven’t Seen the Last of Me”

Though Christina is about to make her acting debut in Burlesque, we cannot forget about her incredible co-star, Cher.  Cher has been around a long time, in the music biz and the movies - hell, she even won an Oscar for her acting ability in Moonstruck.  In classic Cher style, she gives us a big voice ballad with You Haven’t Seen the Last of Me.  And with a new album right around the corner (she’s in the studio now), it’s quite clear that we really haven’t seen the last of this 64 year old gay icon.  What do you think of her solo?  Is Cher turnin’ back time?

Download: Christina Aguilera “Spotlight”

Halloween has come and gone and so begins the Holiday season.  Soon after voting day comes to a close, your boob tube will be filled with all sorts of Holiday cheer, thanks to companies like Macy’s, Old Navy and Target.  Not too far out is Christina Aguilera’s acting debut in Burlesque.  Unlike a lot of critics, we loved her Bionic album.  Unfortunately, a lot of people (including Christina) have put that album behind them and moved along.  Here’s an early gift for our readers - Christina doing what she does best - singing one of the theme songs, Spotlight.
